One such product that we wanted to take a minute and highlight is the Jagwire Disc Brake Multi-Tool. One of the stand out features that is that it covers a short list of multiple purposes, all while remaining a component specific tool. Most "multi" tools try to do to much while cramming it into an almost unusable package. Don't be fooled by the the multi tool name attached here, it is still very much an everyday shop tool that you'll find in a tool box or on a work bench.

We were fortunate to be able to pull Jason (Foundry Brand Manager) and Rob (Foundry Sales Manager) away from the everyday routine for a night of talking about bikes over beer and nachos. It was a great opportunity for the local market to finally get to see the bikes up close and in person and meet just a few of the folks who have made it possible.

Come join us for the Foundry launch party on January 16th @ 6pm. It's our chance to introduce our new partnership with Foundry Cycles as their exclusive online retail partner. Fortunately, I often also see examples of cyclists doing things simply for the sake of cycling that positively impact our community in very real ways, ways that serve as a reminder that the über-advocates are in it for all the right reasons.

Take, for example, the recent efforts of one Michael Babcock to give the Lansing cyclocross scene a much needed shot to the heart. Before this season it'd been over a half decade since the capital area had played host to a 'cross race, and clearly the Lansing cycling community hadn't been capitalizing (get it?) on the rapid growth in the discipline to promote the sport locally. This year, however, that would change.

Bottom brackets tend to be one part that a lot of cyclists either over look or have no idea what it’s called, much less what style, shape, or size it is. The Bottom Bracket is the term used for the bearing assembly that the crank arms rotate on. In the past few years the choices have expanded greatly and it seems every year some new form or standard is set. It's also a part that when it works, you forget about it but when things go wrong, it can ruin a day on the road or trail. If you're building a new bike or repairing an old one, here's a list of all the info you'll need to determine what kind of bottom bracket you have.

A great deal of reviews have been posted all over the internet for these saddles. Handmade in England, Brooks has been in the saddle business since 1866., almost as long as the bicycle as been around. One thing that speaks volumes about this saddle is how it's presented on their site. They have a column for unsolicited testimonials and a column for unfiltered criticisms. If that type of presentation doesn't sell it self I don't know what will. The same holds largely true for our site as well. The reviews left by folks are always what sells.
