Tree Fort Bikes presents Detroit Bike City 2012

Sat March 24th @ COBO Center

Tree Fort Bikes presents Detroit Bike City 2012!

Tree Fort Bikes presents Detroit Bike City 2012: 1st Annual bicycle show and swap meet. Pack up your old gear, your kids and your camera, Detroit Bike City is going to fill COBO with live demos, hundreds of vendors, eager swappers, and free stuff.  Wether you ride all summer, all year or only in your mind while watching the Tour De France you will find something just right for you.  All forms of bicycles, from road and racing to mountain and BMX to cross and commuter, will be on display and in use at COBO for Detroit Bike City, with a full day of bicycle activities and demos for the whole family.  There will be secure bicycle parking right on site as well, thanks to Wheelhouse Detroit!  Don’t miss this chance to find great deals and witness the size and variety of our biking community.

tf-_mg_2191 Here at Tree Fort we’re excited to be able to get in at the ground floor with this event for a few reasons.  First of all, we believe in bikes and there’s a huge opportunity within the city to mobilize existing residents and future residents with bikes.  Secondly there are burgeoning bike communities (commuter, cross, track, fixed gear, mountain, etc…) and advocacy groups in and around the city that will be represented and that will have a great opportunity to connect here.  In partnering w/ Detroit Bike City and you, Tree Fort is working with a great group of other shops and advocacy groups to build a stronger bicycle community here in southeastern MI, in turn creating a more bicycle related reputation nationally and internationally for Detroit and metro Detroit.  Tree Fort is proud to be working with everyone involved with Detroit Bike City 2012 and we believe we can collectively make a lasting positive impact in southeastern MI.

Saturday March 24th come to the home of the auto show to buy, sell, swap, browse and enjoy our community, while being part of the inaugural Detroit Bike City.
