Niner Bikes Cogalicious RDO Ti Cog total kit weight 62 grams

This week, stock arrived for the all-new Niner Bikes’ Cogalicious RDO Ti Cog. Designed for top-end performance, the kit features a machined Ti cog, aluminum spacers and aluminum lock ring.

The cog is spec’d at 26 grams, but our sample weighed 28 grams; the complete kit weighs in at 62 grams. Niner provides enough spacers of various widths to let you fine-tune the cog position. Tooth position on the cog is thoughtfully designed, too — the teeth are offset just a hair to allow you to flip it and dial-in that fit just a little better. (more…)

2013 Niner RIP RDO

Niner introduced the newest member of the family, the RIP RDO Carbon at Interbike last week. Overall, they managed to shave about a pound off the alloy version while retaining all the same stiffness. It took the Niner folks right around 2 years to develop this frame and it shows. They simply didn’t take the RIP and make it carbon. They’ve gone through and designed the pivot axles and bearings systems to optimize it’s strength and durability. But worry not, it’s still the same geometry, ride characteristics and 120mm of travel as the RIP alloy frame. (more…)

Niner Demo Day July 16th (Updated!!)

For all of you who are looking at a Niner bike, but not sure if you’ll like it, nows your chance to test one out. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that you’ll be able to really test it out, on an actual trail! On July 16th we’re going to be taking our fleet of Niner demo bike over to Rolling hills and letting everyone who joins us, take them for a spin. We’ll be posting up a list of sizes and models available to try out soon. In addition, Rolling Hills is a county park and they do charge an vehicle fee. But worry not, we’ve got you covered. Click on the image below, print out flyer and present it to the gate at the park and they’ll wave the fee for the day! Hope to see everyone out there.
